Phew. Good job that's not Chris Evans in the photo. Fatain America wouldn't be such a great watch going off those chins.

I see they've saved some money for this scene and re-used the costumes from the Reb Brown Captain America

Considering how frequently you echo their scoops, you would think the Daily Mail IS your favorite paper. But am I the only one who finds this symbolic hand-wringing over certain papers increasingly tiresome? The Daily Mail is nothing more than a lurid working class tabloid-- and generally a good read. It's the journalistic equivalent of an exploitation film or (proper) comic book: the sort of thing this site is dedicated to.

Everyone, you do realize this movie will suck, right? Have you ever seen a "great" Joe Johnson movie? Looking back, the Rocketeer only had 2 things going for it, and both of them were Jennifer Connelly. Add in fake 3D = pass.

You all do realize this movie is going to suck, right? Joe Johnson is "workmanlike" at best - looking back, the actually very boring Rocketeer only had 2 things going for it, and Jennifer Connelly was both of them. Pass.

Captain America is my all time favourite super hero.Aged 7 I would roll over the top of my wellies, colour them in with red felt tip pen and wear marigolds running around the garden with a cardboard shield. That costume looked better than the one in this picture. This is horrendous, and I'm easy to please,I like the 90's movie.

SCOOP! Filming in Hackney Empire, East London from Monday. I received an email at work today (I work next door to the Empire) saying that roads and so on will be closed from Monday 13th September to facilitate the filming of a 1940's set film called 'Frostbite'. Which just happens to be the shooting title of a certain American Captain...

What about those bikes, guys? I think it's so weird that the HYDRA agents ride futuristic models and Cappie is on a classic one. Are those guys from the future, travelling through time? Is his 1940s story a prequel for the Avengers movie or will he actually meet Iron Man? Will the insurance company allow Chris Evans to ride a bike for a single scene?

First shots of Captain America costume

Simon Brew

The First Avenger: Captain America is currently shooting in the UK, and we’ve got our first glimpse at the title character’s costume right here…

Over at our favourite newspaper on the entire planet, the Daily Mail, the first pictures have emerged of the costume that Chris Evans will be wearing in the upcoming Captain America movie.

Evans isn't the one wearing the costume in this shot we've got here, mind, as it's his stunt double who's donning the outfit here. And you'll also spot a shot of a pair of H.Y.D.R.A. agents too. Take a mooch and see what you think.

The First Avenger: Captain America arrives in cinemas next year.
