Transformers 2: casting and robots
Simon Brew
Shooting is underway on the second Transformers film, and more news has leaked out...
Following our story last week on how the second Transformers film is shaking up, a few more titbits have emerged.
Firstly, on the casting front, Matthew Marsden is the latest to be added to the roster. Marsden, currently best known for Rambo and Resident Evil: Extinction, will be fighting the Decepticons as a British Special Forces agent. He joins the likes of Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro, as well as Rainn Wilson, who was confirmed in the film last week.
Furthermore, one of those involved in the writing of the film, Robert Orci, has hinted that there may be as many as 20 robots going head to head in the new film, which is now filming under the directorship of Michael Bay. That's a lot of hard drives...
Transformers 2 hits cinemas in 26th June 2009.

Re: Transformers 2: casting and robotsMatthew Marsden also known for such classics as Anaconda 2 and Corrie! - still he had by far the best gun in any film in the past ten years in Rambo so I will let him off! | |
Re: Transformers 2: casting and robotsHahaha agreed! I'm actually pleased he's in Transformers after seeing him in Rambo. Oh and I have 3 copies of Anacondas from different countries, but hopefully no one will spot my confession here... |
