Doctor Who: David Tennant to stay until 2011?

Considering we’re still a couple of months away from the next episode of Doctor Who, it hasn’t stopped the rumour mill from sparking into some heavy duty action. And the latest titbit from the Sunday papers was that David Tennant could, at last, be on the verge of committing to another full series in the Tardis.
We already know that Tennant will be around for the 2009 specials, but it was widely believed that he’d be upping sticks at that point to allow someone fresh into the blue box. Yet the BBC is believed to be very keen to keep him, and has reportedly offered him a bumper contract to stay on, and the man himself is believed to be quite keen.
The News Of The World thus reported that Tennant is now pondering the deal, and could be around after all for a full season run of Steven Moffat’s Who. Which would just leave the matter of a new assistant to deal with…
