As the promotional tour for Quantum of Solace continues, it's now emerged that Daniel Craig was offered the role of Thor in the upcoming movie adaptation. The film, which Kenneth Branagh is believed to be attached to direct, is set to go before the cameras next year, in time for a 2010 release date.
According to IESB, Marvel approached Craig to offer him the role, but the actor turned it down. You suspect that Craig is offered an abundance of such roles right now, and according to the report, the actor joked that the power trip of playing Bond and Thor would be a little too much.

What?
Kenneth B directing Thor?!
Why can't they just admit that all they want to do is film the first run of The Ultimates?!
They even cast Sam Jackson as Nick Fury!

Am I the only one thinking of Vladimir Kulich for this role? I mean he's almost there in that shot as it is. When I saw him in 13th Warrior, he reminded me of Thor.
