Filming is set to start in the next month or two on Deadpool 2, that’ll see David Leitch direct this time around, with Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick on scripting and producing duties once again.
Already, though, further Deadpool adventures are being planned, with Ryan Reynolds’ take on the character set to feature in an X-Force ensemble movie. And one rumor had suggested that X-Force would actually end up being Deadpool 3. Not so, though, says Rhett Reese.
“Deadpool 3 will be different from X-Force,” he confirmed to CinemaBlend. “So I think we’ll be able to take two paths. One is where we’re launching something bigger, but then another when we’re contracting and staying personal and small. So I think best of all worlds, really.”
Which all seems to make sense. We’re still some way away from either film, with the immediate priority to get Deadpool 2 made, ahead of its cinema release next year. As we hear more, we’ll keep you posted, though…
