There were some growing pains, but All Elite Wrestling has been able to hold its own during the days of COVID. In their last PPV, Double or Nothing 2020, they played up the situation with what’s probably the best ever use of the cinematic wrestling match gimmck with the Stadium Stampede. Now they’re getting ready for their next big PPV, AEW All Out 2020.

There’s some history behind the name of this PPV. AEW’s prototype show back in September 2018 was called All In, which centered around various wrestling promotions and indie talent working together. AEW officially launched a few months later and around its anniversary they had the first All Out. It gave us the crowning of the first AEW Champion in Chris Jericho, an all-women Casino Battle Royal, the surprise debut of Orange Cassidy, and the first (and hopefully not last) Cracker Barrel Clash.

In North America, the show is available on B/R Live. Internationally, you can check it out on Fite.TV.

AEW All Out Price

If you’re watching through FiteTV AEW All Out will cost $49.99. If it’s through another PPV provider, the price is $59.99.

Private Party vs. Dark Order at AEW All In 2020

PRIVATE PARTY VS. DARK ORDER’S 3 AND 4

Britt Baker vs. Big Swole in a Tooth and Nail Match at AEW All Out 2020

DR. BRITT BAKER DMD VS. BIG SWOLE

Tooth and Nail Match

Results: A cinematic match, it took place inside and outside Britt Baker’s dentist office. The fight was mostly 2-on-1 thanks to Reba helping Baker. At one point, Baker tried to use a novocaine needle on Swole. Swole reversed it so that Baker stabbed herself in the leg. Swole punched out Reba, then put Baker under with a mask of knockout gas.

Young Bucks vs. Jurassic Express at AEW All Out 2020

YOUNG BUCKS VS. JURASSIC EXPRESS

Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara in a Broken Rules match at AEW All Out 2020

MATT HARDY VS SAMMY GUEVARA

Broken Rules Match. If Matt Hardy loses, he must leave AEW

Results: The real story of the night, unfortunately. Early on, the two took a huge fall onto a table, but Hardy landed VERY BADLY and hit his head on the concrete. After this horrifying bump, Sammy was pulled away and the ring doctor decided to call the match.

A very obviously concussed Matt Hardy got up and marched to Sammy. They decided to restart the match and rush directly to the ending, where the two brawled, Matt knocked Sammy off a high scaffold, and Sammy broke through a landing platform. Sammy didn’t make the ten count and Matt Hardy was deemed the winner.

Shida defends the AEW Women's World Championship against Thunder Rosa at AEW All Out 2020

SHIDA (C) VS. THUNDER ROSA

AEW Women’s World Championship

Results: An even match that ended with Shida nailing a running knee to a sitting Thunder Rosa.

Dark Order vs. Natural Nightmares, Matt Cardona, and Scorpio Sky at AEW All Out 2020

DARK ORDER VS. NATURAL NIGHTMARES, MATT CARDONA, AND SCORPIO SKY

Results: Colt Cabana was setting up a powerbomb on QT Marshall, when Brodie Lee insisted on tagging in. Brodie allowed QT to tag in Dustin and proceeded to lay Dustin out with a discus lariat. Brodie tagged Colt back in and signaled for him to make the cover. Colt instead went for a top-rope moonsault, which missed, as Dustin rolled out of the way and grabbed Colt for a successful roll-up.

After the match, Brodie angrily screamed at Colt for screwing up. As the Dark Order walked to the back, Evil Uno helped Colt up and seemed to sympathize with him.

Kenny Omega and Hangman Page defend the AEW Tag Team Championship against FTR at AEW All Out 2020

KENNY OMEGA AND HANGMAN PAGE (C) VS. FTR

AEW World Tag Team Championship

Results: FTR destroyed Kenny’s leg, meaning Hangman had to try to fight them off on his own. Kenny finally returned to help out, but accidentally knocked Hangman silly with the V-Trigger. With Kenny barely able to move, he watched as FTR hit Hangman with a spiked piledriver. Hangman kicked out, but they followed with a second spiked piledriver, which finished the job. FTR are the new tag champs.

After the match, Kenny was extremely frustrated and considered using a folding table on Hangman. He discarded it, but when Hangman stumbled towards him, Kenny shoved him away and allowed him to collapse onto the mat. Kenny stormed backstage, angrily ranted at the Young Bucks (blaming Hangman for their loss), then left in his car.

Chris Jericho vs. Orange Cassidy in a Mimosa Mayhem Match at AEW All Out 2020

CHRIS JERICHO VS. ORANGE CASSIDY

Mimosa Mayhem Match

Results: A fun, but weird match where there were two vats of mimosa outside of the ring. At one point, Jericho put Orange in the Walls of Jericho, but Orange was able to get a glass, fill it with mimosa, and splash it in Jericho’s face to escape. Jericho tried to do an Edge Powerbomb off the ropes into one of the vats, but Orange escaped, hit two Superman Punches, and knocked Jericho into the vat instead.

Jon Moxley defends the AEW World Championship against MJF at AEW All Out 2020

JON MOXLEY (C) VS. MJF

AEW World Championship, Paradigm Shift is illegal

Results: MJF was busted open and Moxley spent much of the match favoring his arm. Wardlow distracted the ref for the sake of sneaking MJF his ring as a weapon. While MJF reached for it, Moxley smiled at him and pulled him in for the Paradigm Shift. The ref didn’t see it, so Moxley wasn’t punished as he pinned MJF.

After the match, he flipped off Lance Archer and Jake Roberts, who watched from the stands.

The next PPV is AEW Full Gear 2020, which will happen on November 7.
