Lost gets slightly longer sixth and final season

Season 6 of Lost gets an extra episode. Could it help squeeze a few more answers in, we wonder?

Published on Jul 2, 2009

Now in production over in Hawaii, the final season of Lost promises - and many people feel owes - a whole lot of answers. And it seems that ABC has realised that it might just have a lot to squeeze into the final run.

As such, it's now been confirmed that the sixth and final season of the show is to be extended by a further episode, bringing the total run up to eighteen episodes.

As is becoming the norm, the season will kick off with a double episode premiere, and then a double episode finale, which surely stands a chance of being the most-watched scripted show on US television next year.

The final season of Lost is set to start broadcasting next January, and the early rumours suggest that we can expect something of a downbeat run-in to the ending, too...

As long as they don't make the ending double bill episode slow to crawl like the one at the end of the last season did!

Cannot wait, they can add as many episodes as they like because when that last one shows my TV life is over...
