While much of the entertainment world is in lockdown and in danger of drying up their respective content pipelines soon, Netflix has claimed that they have more than enough finished projects and business will continue as usual. While that may seem to be an outlandish boast, it’s hard to look at Netflix’s new releases for May 2020 and not think “man, they’re really just not stopping.”

Netflix’s new releases for May 2020 are positively loaded with new Netflix originals, intriguing recent films, and even some fun new stock TV shows. Office creator Greg Daniels latest project (not counting Amazon Prime’s Upload, which also premieres this month), Space Force, premieres on May 29 and will likely be Netflix’s big blockbuster this month. Having access to Daniels, Steve Carell, John Malkovich, Lisa Kudrow, and more will do that for a project.

Elsewhere on the Netflix original front, Hollywood will get the month off to a Ryan Murphy start on May 1. Then both The Eddy and a fresh season of Dead to Me premiere on May 8. Docuseries Trial By Media follows on May 11, just one day before Netflix’s next interactive special experiment, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. The Reverend. The latest season of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power will premiere on May 15.

The non-Netflix original series this month might be just as impressive. You’ve likely heard the news that Avatar: The Last Airbender is coming to Netflix in May so congratulations: you just heard it again and I can’t imagine it was any less thrilling. The most recent seasons of Supergirl, Riverdale, and The Flash will all be arriving in May as well.

Film fans will also be fed with The Lovebirds making its long-awaited debut on May 22. Not only that but the positively thrilling Uncut Gems follows on May 25.

That’s about as jam-packed month as you’ll find in the streaming world.
