Fans will be able to make choices on behalf of our characters, taking different story paths with, of course, different jokes. I think it’s a great fit for our show and will be a great way to officially complete the series.”

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt premiered on Netflix back in May of 2015. It was the follow up effort to Fey and Robert Carlock’s massively successful NBC sitcom 30 Rock. The story (as helpfully summed up by its delightful auto-tuned opening credits) follows Kimmy Schmidt, a young optimistic woman who spent much of her youth and early adult life imprisoned in an underground bunker by the doomsday cultist Reverend Wayne Gary Wayne (Jon Hamm). Once rescued, the 29-year-old Kimmy moves to New York where she learns to adapt to modern life with the help of landlord Lillian (Carol Kane), roommate Titus (Tituss Burgess), and employer Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski).

The fourth and final season premiered on January 25, 2019 on Netflix.
