Avengers: Endgame Battle Gets a 16-bit Tribute
Avengers: Endgame is profoundly emotional, even in retro game format form.
This article contains spoilers for Avengers: Endgame.
A new video from YouTube channel Mr. Sunday Movies has arrived to bring Avengers: Endgame‘s final battle to life with a 16-bit flavor. Objectively, it shouldn’t be as uplifting to watch as it is, but emotions are still running high from seeing Earth’s mightiest heroes face off against Thanos again with much better results, so we’re going to give ourselves (and you) a pass on this. WE MUST FEEL OUR FEELINGS.
The 16-bit creation was animated by John Stratman and scored by Kenny Mac, and it’s around five minutes long. After that, you can hear all about why and how they tackled the process of making it, with hints that they may get to work on another video that will complete the final Endgame battle sequence in the future.

Marvel is certainly hoping that its climactic MCU team-up flick hasn’t run out of steam with fans just yet, as it’s about to re-release Avengers: Endgame with a few little extras to tempt fans back to cinemas at least one more time to say goodbye to the Avengers line-up as we know it. The re-release, which may just see Disney toppling Avatar from the top of the all-time global box-office, will have an unfinished deleted scene featuring Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, and a sneak peek of Spider-Man: Far From Home.
After Far From Home has been and gone, it’ll be quite a while before we see the next MCU instalment appear – a solo Black Widow movie starring Scarlett Johansson which should be along sometime in 2020.
