Call of Duty Warzone: Best Season 6 Meta Weapons and Loadouts
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 6 is here, which means that it's time to reset your loadouts and learn to love the best guns in the new meta.
Call of Duty: Warzone‘s Season 6 update kicks off what figures to be the “farewell tour” for the game’s Verdansk map as well as a brand-new meta filled with exciting new opportunities to infuriate your opponents by being the first to discover which of the battle royale’s guns are truly broken.
While the latest Warzone update doesn’t feature the kind of sweeping nerfs and buffs that we’re used to seeing from earlier “season” patches, it does make some subtle changes to some of the game’s weapon classes that should impact which guns ultimately work their way to the top of the meta. It also introduces a few new weapons that are already establishing themselves as some of the absolute best in the game.
Here’s a look at the best weapons in Warzone‘s Season 6 meta and the loadouts you’ll need to make them all that they can be.
Call of Duty Warzone Season 6: Best Guns
Grav
The newest assault rifle on the block is already proving to be divisive. While some worry that it’s too wild and a bit too limited, this gun’s surprising range and incredible projectile velocity make it a fairly unique weapon.
Ultimately, it’s hard to deny that the Grav’s ability to shred an enemy before they have a chance to return fire makes it one of the most potentially valuable guns in the game at the moment. Take the time to learn to love this one because it might be around for a little while.
MAC-10
If the MAC-10 isn’t the best SMG in Warzone at the moment, it’s at least the one you want at your side in a pinch.
This gun’s incredible hip fire speed and accuracy mean that it’s arguably the most effective close-range gun in Warzone. You will have to learn how to manage this gun’s hip fire potential, but it really is one of the best overall guns in the game at the moment.
Kar98k
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, the Kar98k remains the best overall sniper rifle in Warzone.
This gun punishes inaccurate aim and won’t exactly stop an enemy in their tracks with mere body shots, but there’s something to be said for the fact that you always know exactly what you’re going to get from this rifle. It’s a headshot machine designed for mid-to-long-range experts.
Krig 6
The Krig 6 is nowhere near as powerful as it used to be, but it makes up for its recent soft nerfs with reliability and familiarity.
If you’re already used to rolling out with the Krig 6 at this point, there’s honestly very little reason to deviate from your strategy. It’s a solid all-around gun that can easily carry you to victory if you know what you’re doing.
DMR 14
The DMR 14 is no longer as broken as it used to be, but it’s still arguably one of the best long-range guns in Warzone that isn’t technically a sniper rifle.
The Grav’s long-range effectiveness admittedly cuts into the DMR 14’s appeal, but this weapon’s sniper-like precision and high rate of fire mean that it’s one of the best ways to keep enemies in check and ensure that they’re scared to peek their heads out.
AK-47 (CW)
Some call the AK-47 the best overall gun in Warzone, and while I’m not quite ready to go that far, I will say that this gun’s ridiculous TTK potential makes it a top-tier option.
If you can find a way to manage this gun’s sometimes unwieldy recoil, you should be able to rely on this assault rifle in most close-to-mid-range scenarios. It’s just a scary gun for both the user and the person on the other end.
XM4
The XM4 has been solid for quite some time, but much like the AK-47, it recently benefited from some of the changes made to other weapons.
What the XM4 lacks in TTK potential it makes up for with its stability and mid-range damage potential. If you just can’t seem to get the AK-47 under control, the XM4 is a more than worthy alternative.
Bullfrog
While the MAC-10’s rate of fire and ridiculous close-range damage potential make it hard to beat for face-to-face encounters, the Bullfrog may indeed be the best overall SMG option in Warzone at the moment.
With its high rate of fire and massive magazine, the Bullfrog is somewhere between an LMG and SMG. What really sets this one apart, though, is its surprisingly manageable recoil and how easy it is to use it in most scenarios.
Stoner 63
It’s really between the Stoner 63 and PKM in the battle for the best LMG in Warzone at the moment, but the Stoner 63 ultimately gets our nod.
It comes down to reliability. The PKM’s TTK potential is undoubtedly impressive, but it’s just a little too wild for what you’re ultimately trying to get out of an LMG. The Stoner 63’s stability elevates it slightly among the alternatives in this class.
OTs 9
The biggest problem with the OTs 9 at the moment is that the MAC-10 arguably does everything this gun does well just a little bit better.
However, this SMG’s high rate of fire and incredible TTK potential means that you may end up preferring it over the MAC-10 if you’re the kind of player that can handle the OTs 9’s sometimes ridiculous recoil. Give it a shot if you’re looking to catch people off-guard.
