CGI Arnie clip released from Terminator Salvation
Martin Anderson
He's back. Virtually, anyway, and Sony have released some imagery of CGI Arnie in a new TV spot...
Published on Jun 4, 2009
If you've not yet seen Terminator Salvation and are interested to see what CGI magic has done with the task of getting an 80s-era Arnold Schwarzenneger into the movie, Sony pictures have given a pretty good glimpse into not-Arnie in a new TV spot

...and here's the trailer itself.
What do you think? Not sure about the eyes, and this was the problem with Hulk (both versions), but it's certainly nice to see the Guv again...
Terminator Salvation is on general release now.

Honestly, it looks stupid and a little funny. Not seen the film yet. Maybe it flows seemlessly in a film

Saw it last night and it looked OK. I wouldn't say it flows seamlessly but it was nowhere near as bad as I was expecting. The film, as a whole, was pretty good too.

This looks pretty good, why did Patrick Stewart in X-Men Origins look so terrible?

Patrick Stewart in X-Men Origins didn't look bad actually.

Having now seen the movie, I can safely say that the Arnie scene is rubbish in the extreme. It is shoe-horned in just for the sake of it, makes no sense whatsoever, and is blink-and-you-miss-it quick. Oh, and Arnie looks SO like a CGI character that both me and my son laughed loud in the cinema.

Excuse me if I literally cringed upon seeing these pictures. Granted, this is coming from a person who thinks that the Star Wars Prequel CG effects were subpar when compared with their model predecessors. We’re slowly getting closer to a point where we can fool the human eye into thinking a CG human-like figure is real but we are clearly not there yet.

Having seen the film, i don't think the CGI arnie was that bad! It was only brief and i thought it was kinda cool. The film as a whole was more of a disappointment. The CGI arnie just reminded everyone of how much the film missed the real one.
