Another year of geekdom is coming to a close, and boy has 2019 given us a lot to obsess over. But can you correctly answer one question per month of the year about movies, TV and games? If you’ve been wondering that very specific thing, you’ve come to the right place to find out.
In the world of movies, 2019 saw two massive sagas coming to a close: Marvel Studios wrapped up its Infinity Gauntlet story with the immense crossover that was Avengers: Endgame, and Lucasfilm just recently released Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker into cinemas to bring the Star Wars sequel trilogy to a close. And we’ve had great horror films like Midsommar and Us, as well.
It’s been a big year for telly fans, too, with Game Of Thrones coming to an end after eight bloodsoaked seasons and the BBC kicking off its glossy His Dark Materials adaptation. And on our streaming services, the likes of Good Omens and The Witcher have been keeping us entertained.
Meanwhile, in games, we’ve enjoyed everything from awesome horror remakes (like Resident Evil 2) to barmy new ideas (like Death Stranding), as well as diving into some hilarious little indie experiences (like Untitled Goose Game) and huge action-packed adventures (like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice).
The only thing left for us to do, before we knock off for the holidays, is this: we wish you a very merry Christmas, and we’re going to gift you one final noggin-bothering festival of trivia before we sod off.
