Link Tank: Will There Be a Baby Driver 2?
Edgar Wright is sitting on a Baby Driver 2 script, Black Adam will likely not get an R rating, the new Pokémon game leaked early, and more in Link Tank!
Apparently, Edgar Wright has finished a script for Baby Driver 2, but he’s not sure if he wants to direct the movie.
“A few weeks ago, Edgar Wright suggested that it’s very unlikely that he’ll ever go back and make a sequel to his breakout hit Shaun Of The Dead, going so far as to say that he doesn’t even have much interest in returning to the horror-comedy genre again. That’s not to say that Wright is opposed to sequels in general, because—during a conversation with Cary Fukunaga for Interview Magazine (via IGN)—Wright once more brought up the Baby Driver 2 script he’s been sitting on for a few years.”
Learn more about the concept of “han,” one of the driving forces behind Netflix’s hit show Squid Game.
“You’re no doubt aware of Squid Game, the most-watched TV series of the year — and maybe ever. Fast, frenetic, and extremely furious, the South Korean drama was met with rave reviews, and rightly so. It’s raw, provocative, darkly humorous, and extremely relevant. However, to fully appreciate the profundity of Squid Game, one must first understand the concept of han.”
While we wait for The Boys season 3 to drop, they’ve been pumping out some creative fake news segments to keep us entertained.
“While season 3 of Amazon’s raunchy superhero drama The Boys won’t hit our screens until 2022, the show’s producers are keeping us entertained with their bitingly satirical web series, ‘Seven on 7 with Cameron Coleman’. The series sees Coleman (Matthew Edison), the smarmy Tucker Carlson-like host of Vought News Network, cover the top seven news stories of the day with all the faux outrage and jingoism of any Fox News segment.”
If you were looking for another R-rated DC film, Black Adam might let you down.
“The Black Adam footage revealed at DC Fandome back in October featured a moment where a soldier aims his gun Dwayne Johnson’s hooded antihero. In a flash (not that one), Adam grabs the soldier by the throat and quickly electrifies him to the point of being dust. It’s a pretty gnarly moment that feels like a joke when put up next to Johnson’s previous claims that his character was actually a hero, and it sounds like the rest of the movie will follow suit in that regard.”
Uh oh, parts of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl leaked a couple of weeks before the initial release date.
“Game Freak’s Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl remasters aren’t officially out for another two weeks, but some copies of the upcoming Nintendo Switch games have already started appearing out into the wild. Now fans are combing through apparent leaked screenshots and videos for signs of previously unannounced Gen 4 content, including the Battle Frontier and Distortion World areas.”
Dexter, everyone’s favorite serial killer, is back! Here are some fun facts you might not have known about the show.
“When Dexter debuted on Showtime on October 1, 2006, it changed the landscape of TV. It premiered before antiheroes like Don Draper or Walter White were household names, and it helped put Showtime on the map with its original programming. Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) works as a blood-spatter specialist at the Miami Metro Police Department but also moonlights as a serial killer. He has a code, though: Don’t kill innocent people, don’t get caught, and don’t get emotionally involved.”
