Link Tank: The Cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation is Returning for Picard Season 3
Picard is getting the crew back together, the bad Morbius reviews aren't rattling the director, some special codes for the new LEGO Star Wars game, and more in Link Tank!
The returning cast from Star Trek: The Next Generation is expanding for season 3 of Picard.
“That’s right everyone, set your phasers to cry. I know I did when I heard Levar Burton’s voice coming through my speakers as Geordi LaForge! And not just Burton, but several of The Next Generation’s core cast will be returning as well in an epic final send-off to these beloved characters. Here’s who will be returning.”
The director of Morbius is taking the adverse reaction to his film shockingly well.
“As I write this on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, Morbius is currently sitting at 16% on critical aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes. That means with just over 200 reviews counted, 84% of critics who saw the film disliked it more than they liked it. (This critic included.) Which, to put it mildly, isn’t good. And it’s especially not good when it’s a mega Hollywood blockbuster set in the same universe as a character whose last film is approaching $2 billion globally.”
Not only did Doctor Who alum Matt Smith just appear in Morbius; you’ll also be able to catch him in the upcoming Game of Thrones spinoff House of the Dragon.
Game of Thrones may have concluded its eight-season run almost three years ago, but the show is gearing up to return this August with an upcoming spinoff called House of the Dragon. The 10-episode prequel series, which will also premiere on HBO, travels back in time—almost two centuries before the events of Game of Thrones— and chronicles the Dance of the Dragons, a brutal civil war fought between rival groups within House Targaryen.”
Acclaimed director Richard Linklater has some ideas on fixing the heavily criticized Academy Awards ceremony.
“The 2022 Oscars ceremony was mostly a disaster, even if you were to pluck out that big thing that happened on stage, with the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences deciding to make a handful of seemingly major changes to how the show traditionally plays out in order to cater exclusively to the people who don’t watch the Oscars and never will watch the Oscars.”
Are you having fun playing the new LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga game? Here are some codes to unlock hidden characters and ships.
“There are approximately 40,000 playable characters and ships in the new LEGO Star Wars game. (Editor’s note: No, there’s only like 350.) But most of them are locked when you start, and while completing all of the story missions will unlock some of these heroes and villains from a galaxy far far away, you’ll still need to work to acquire most of the others.”
