Called Deliver Hope, the new clip is considerably more action-packed than the previous one, and looks much more expensive to boot, depicting the all-out conflict between Spartan warriors and the invading Covenant horde.

It's an impressive, stylishly shot clip, and one that not only has us positively itching to play the finished game, but also thinking just how brilliant a Halo feature adaptation could look.

Reach may be Bungie's last entry in its exemplary series of first-person shooters, but the trailer has us convinced the series will conclude with an exciting, emotionally involving bang.

Halo: Reach is set for a 14 September release on Xbox 360.
