Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, TV fans have gotten quite used to lengthy delays between seasons of their favorite shows. But even with that in mind, the wait for Barry season 3 has been a particularly excruciating one. The season 2 finale of HBO’s beloved dark comedy concluded with quite a cruel cliffhanger.

When we last left off, hitman-turned-actor Barry Berkman a.k.a. How Cousineau would react to such a betrayal has hung out there in the TV ether ever since May 2019. Now, some three years later, we’re about to finally see the fireworks go down.

Barry Season 3 Cast

One of the big appeals of Barry is its relatively small cast that still packs a big punch. For season 3, Bill Hader will of course return as the titular violent thespian as will many of his co-stars. These include: Stephen Root as Monroe Fuches, Barry’s former handler currently in hiding; Sarah Goldberg as Sally, Barry’s girlfriend in the midst of launching her first TV series; Anthony Carrigan as Noho Hank, head of the Chechen mob in LA; and Emmy-winner Henry Winkler as Gene Cousineau, Barry’s former acting teacher who is in mourning over the loss of his girlfriend Detective Janice Moss.

Sarah Burns as Detective Mae Dunn is getting bumped out to the regular cast. Recurring cast members D’Arcy Carden as Natalie Greer and Michael Irby as Cristobal also return. HBO has not yet announced any major guest stars, but there are sure to be a few.
