We like to think here at Den of Geek that when it’s time to ask those difficult, deep or penetrating questions of actors or filmmakers, we rise to the occasion every time, armed with knowledge, experience and confidence.
But in the case of Teen Titans Go! to the Movies, this reporter was feeling, well, nervous and unprepared for the formidable challenge of speaking to the longtime voices behind Robin (Scott Menville), Starfire (Hynden Walch) and Beast Boy (Greg Cipes).
After all these are the Teen Titans, and their new full-length feature, Teen Titans Go! to the Movies, represents a major step up to the screen after five years of superhero satire and absurdist lunacy on their Cartoon Network series.
So after careful consultation with the editors, it was decided that I would step down into a supportive role on this assignment and hand it over to our newest star reporter, Charlotte Kaye (who coincidentally shares my last name). Her longstanding interest and research into the Titans made her the perfect candidate to grill the trio over some of the most pressing queries of our time.
So please join me in welcoming Charlotte to the Den of Geek team as she puts Robin, Starfire and Beast Boy on the spot. Next up for our young reporter: an undercover investigation in to whether the Snyder Cut really exists.
Teen Titans Go! to the Movies is out in theaters this Friday (July 27).
