Link Tank: Knives Out 2 is Coming Late 2022
There's another murder happening later this year, Harry Styles had a scene cut from Eternals, Emma Watson was nearly in the MCU, and more in Link Tank.
The high anticipated murder-mystery sequel to Knives Out is headed to Netflix later in 2022.
“Mystery lovers rejoice! Rian Johnson’s highly anticipated follow-up to 2019’s Knives Out is set to be released this fall on Netflix and in theaters simultaneously. The film finds southern detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) investigating another twisty mystery, with a sprawling A-list cast that includes Kathryn Hahn, Ethan Hawke, Edward Norton, Dave Bautista, Kate Hudson, Janelle Monáe, Leslie Odom Jr, Jessica Henwick, and Madelyn Cline.”
Hold on, there was almost another scene with Harry Styles in Eternals, but it was cut?
“With Eternals now streaming and available in Digital HD, and coming on 4K Blu-ray and DVD on February 15, McHugh spoke to Inverse about everything from learning a dead language to hanging out with the movie’s surprise cast member, Harry Styles.”
Are you interested in some classic hand-held gaming but don’t want to break the bank on anything? Here’s a cheap alternative for you.
“As excellent a retro handheld as the Analogue Pocket is, at $220 it’s an expensive piece of hardware—pricier than even the Nintendo Switch Lite. Analogue’s use of hardware emulation delivers a flawless retro gaming experience, but don’t write off software emulation just yet. For $60, the Miyoo Mini is a brilliant little handheld with excellent controls, a solid screen, and performance that punches well above its price tag.”
Did Saturday Night Live just manage to make Will Forte seem boring?
“The only sketch that really captured the Will Forte-in-a-bottle magic was his monologue. Running down all the former castmates who’ve hosted SNL before him, Forte channeled his manic energy into a very funny and Forte-like blank-eyed staredown of barely repressed resentment. Noting how, of the ridiculously stacked in retrospect stars of Forte’s eight seasons, his first call to host came after everyone from Andy Samberg, to Jason Sudeikis, to Fred Armisen, to Kristen Wiig (twice), to Bill Hader (also twice), to Seth Meyers (just an Update guy!), and even John Mulaney (four times—for a writer?!) got their turn, Forte was the portrait of thwarted glory.”
No, you won’t be able to hunt Pokémon in the new game, but this sure is a fun fan-made video.
“For the past month, Reddit user Dragon_GameDev2 has been working on a side project imagining a PC Pokémon game, built using Unreal Engine, that you played in first-person. While your thoughts may now be drifting towards something resembling Pokémon Snap, Dragon_GameDev2 had more violent plans for this game. He instead showed off some videos where players were dropped into a Pokémon-filled landscape, given modern firearms, and set free to hunt (and defend themselves from) as many of the pocket monsters as they liked.”
Harry Potter icon Emma Watson was nearly cast as Yelena in Black Widow.
“Back in the day, it seemed like the Harry Potter movies employed every single actor in Great Britain, from Alan Rickman to Maggie Smith to Ralph Fiennes and beyond. In the same way, it seems that most actors on the planet will eventually land some role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, from Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson to newer additions like Mahershala Ali and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.”
