Another breakout star from Euphoria has joined the Sony Spider-Man universe, this time with Sydney Sweeney. Has the studio found their Spider-Gwen or Black Cat?

“Deadline shared yesterday that Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney would be joining Dakota Johnson in Sony Pictures’ Madame Web, but there’s no word yet as to which character in the Spider-Man universe she will be. In the comics, Madame Web has been depicted as an elderly woman named Cassandra Webb, with clairvoyant and precognitive mutant abilities that she uses to ‘help’ Spider-Man. I put help in quotes because she’s a sassy lady and sometimes painfully vague.”

“Following the announcement that The Suicide Squad director James Gunn will be playing himself on the upcoming third season of Harley Quinn, Deadline confirms that Harvey Guillén will also be joining the cast as Nightwing. It’s the second DC project in short succession for the What We Do in the Shadows fan favorite; this Dick Grayson news comes after the announcement that he’s also co-starring in the live-action Blue Beetle film.”
