Eric Francisco is an entertainment journalist who specializes in the nerd culture multiverse and Asian American representation. He was a senior writer at Inverse for eight years, and his work has also appeared in Vulture, The Daily Beast, Observer, Mary Sue, and Geekscape. His greatest hits include a three-part feature on the origins of Marvel's Shang-Chi, profiling Snake Eyes star Henry Golding, and various filmmaker Q&As. He played way too much Call of Duty: Warzone in 2020 and can pull off Scorpion's combos in Mortal Kombat in his sleep. A graduate of Rutgers University and a lifelong Jersey boy, he can be found screaming his lungs out at Devils games.
