How To Train Your Dragon trailer

Simon Brew

Before DreamWorks unleashes the fourth Shrek movie, there’s the small matter of How To Train Your Dragon to come. And here’s the trailer for it…

Published on Nov 3, 2009

After enjoyed success last year by releasing Monsters Vs Aliens in March - a surprisingly early slot for a major animated family movie - DreamWorks Animation is once more circling a similar release window for its next big project. That said, there's good reasons why DreamWorks is scheduling How To Train Your Dragon for a March 26th 2010 US release, given that the summer sees both Toy Story 3 and Shrek Forever After doing battle. It's, thus, quite a savvy move to steer a good three months clear of both.

As such, the firm has now released the first trailer for its new film, which features the voice talents of McLovin (that'll be Christopher Mintz-Plasse), Gerard Butler and Jonah Hill, and it looks like the usual DreamWorks Animation fun thus far.

See what you think...

Main characters voice was awful (please hollywood, hire voice actors again, it's their freakin' jobs ffs!) but the dragon is adorable!

I'm not keen on the blunt faced lizardy look of the dragon. And vikings generally didn't have horned helmets... although I might be nitpicking there it being a cartoon...

Looks good. Personally didn't find Hiccups voice awful. Made him sound like the bit of a dweeb that he's supossed to be.
