Ghost Hunters Reboot Season 2 Trailer (Exclusive Debut)

We have the exclusive trailer debut for new episodes of paranormal investigations classic Ghost Hunters, returning in April.

This April, the paranormal investigations continue, and if the new trailer for A&E’s Ghost Hunters is any indication, the unscripted show is headed into some terrifying territory in its second season. Moreover, in this sneak peek debuting exclusively at Den of Geek, the landmark paranormal show—returning April 8 at 8 pm ET, with a two-part premiere—appears to capture an impressive piece of footage. The footage from the season is so impressive, in fact, the network is touting it as “indisputable evidence of life after death.”

The trailer itself is a pretty excellent tease for the paranormal reality investigative show. It immediately conjures horror films such as The Shining with aerial shots of remote wintry roads, and the plucking of a violin. The effect is a tense build as investigator Kristen Luman, shot in night vision and calling to mind The Blair Witch Project, utters the classic scary movie line: “Is anyone out there?” The trailer further reveals the team, led by original cast member Grant Wilson, is the first to investigate a particularly remote location beset by “thousands” of deaths. A montage of shot unfold, and the music crescendoes as some sort of presence appears to cross in front of their cameras, much to the shock of the investigators.

For a paranormal reality series, it’s a creepy-as-hell trailer that nicely cues up the double-episode premiere.

According to a press release by A&E, the team this season “heads into uncharted territory to be the first to investigate reports of paranormal phenomena in some of the nation’s most remote locations … where they confront extreme conditions and desolate terrain.”

The network promises the team will still keep with the series message of helping clients frightened to the core by the paranormal. However, the scare-factor seems to be highlighted this season, with an emphasis on the team of Ghost Hunters heading into areas despite “mysterious and unnerving warnings from locals.” In addition to Wilson, and Luman, the team includes Daryl Marston, Brandon Alvis, Mustafa Gatollari, Brian Murray, and Richel Stratton.

It’s all a good set up, regardless of a viewer’s personal belief in ghosts, and the paranormal. But the bold statement is certainly the promise of unveiling the most “compelling, persuasive” evidence of the paranormal in more than a decade later in the season.

While we will all have to wait and see for ourselves when that episode airs, in the meantime you can enjoy an excellent horror movie trailer for the new season of Ghost Hunters, kicking off April 8.

Originally airing on Syfy from 2004 until 2016, with Wilson originally departing the show in 2012, the series returned at its new home A&E August 2019. Ghost Hunters is produced by Lionsgate’s Pilgrim Media Group with Craig Piligian and Mike Nichols serving as executive producers. Wilson also serves as executive producer. Elaine Frontain Bryant, Amy Savitsky, and Peter Tarshis serve as executive producers for A&E Network. Find out more about the show and watch episodes here.
