Ultraman is making waves in America! After the announcements of a new film, comic series, and home media Blu-ray sets, the hero from the sky has one more trick up his Ultra sleeve. If you’ve been wanting to check out the history of Ultraman now is your time! Shout! Factory alongside Mill Creek Entertainment (who’ve been releasing Ultraman on Blu-ray) have teamed up to bring a ton of Ultraman series to the US through Shout’s Tokushoutsu streaming service!

Just how may you might be wondering? Well, it’s more than 1100 episodes and 20 movies including… -breathes in deeply-

Ultra Q, Ultraman, Ultraseven, Return of Ultraman, Ultraman Ace, Ultraman Taro, Ultraman Gaia, Ultraman Gaia: The Battle in Hyper Space, Ultraman Cosmos, Ultraman Nexus, Ultraman Max, Ultraman Mebius, Ultraman Mebius & Ultraman Brothers, Mega Monster Battle Ultra Galaxy: The Movie, Ultraman Saga, Ultraman Ginga, Ultraman Ginga S, Ultraman X, Ultraman Orb, Ultramen Geed, and “a long list of notable titles.”

Shout! Factory is planning an “aggressive rollout of Ultraman” including “individual programs as well as complete series.” No word on when each series will drop or if they’ll drop all at once but “additional news and actives” will be revealed in the next few months.

“A colossus of the tokusatsu genre, Ultraman is one of the most beloved and enduring pop culture brands in the world and, amazingly, it’s still growing. So it’s particularly exciting to present more than 50 years of TV series and feature films to North American audiences, much of it for the first time. They’ve got a lot of catching up to do, and we aim to help that happen,” said Jordan Fields, Vice President of Acquisitions at Shout! Factory.

It’s incredible to see Ultraman makes such a huge push in America after years of smaller attempts. The companies behind Ultraman are giving it their all and we love seeing more Tokusatsu make it to America, which has previously been dominated by Power Rangers. If you’ve been at all curious about the history of Ultraman, you’ll be getting a bounty of material to check out soon!

Stay tuned for more Ultraman news about the movie, comic books, streaming releases, and more!
