Runaways Season 3 Story
Here’s the official synopsis, courtesy of Hulu…
Marvel’s Runaways will return for its third and final season giving the fans what they’ve been waiting for. After evading corrupt parents, battling powerful aliens and coming face-to-face with the world’s most powerful sorceress, the conclusion to this epic saga will leave no stone unturned.
In an action-packed Season 3, the Runaways frantically search for their captured friends Chase, Gert, and Karolina. The kids go head to head with an unstoppable enemy who has targeted Leslie — or more accurately, the child she’s carrying. Nico draws them all into a dark realm where its ruler Morgan le Fay, played by Elizabeth Hurley, is much more nefarious than anyone the kids have yet to face.

“We are so excited to tell more Runaways stories and are so grateful to Marvel, Hulu, our amazing cast and crew and of course our passionate audience,” said showrunners/writers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage Schwartz in a press release. “Season three will be a magical time on Runaways, as we deepen our connection to the Marvel universe. We are honored to continue to play in the sandbox created by Brian K. Vaughn and Adrian Alphona.”

“Deepen our connection to the Marvel universe”? This is most liken a reference to the Cloak & Dagger crossover happening in Season 3. (Sadly, Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger has also been canceled.) We had a chance to chat with the Runaways folks at NYCC about merging those two worlds. You can read more about that here.
