How Will Avengers: Infinity War Affect Cloak and Dagger?

It's the Marvel Cinematic Universe's world. The Marvel TV universe is just living in it.

Warning: MAJOR spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War.

Thanos’ snap has really made what was already an awkward, confusing connection between the world of Marvel TV and the world of Marvel movies even more awkward and confusing. At a panel for Cloak and Dagger, Marvel TV VP Jeph Loeb explained how Thanos’ snap, which erased half of everyone in the entire universe, affects the world of Cloak and Dagger… and apparently every other Marvel TV show.

“The short answer is: the stories you’re seeing, unless otherwise noted, all happen before what is affectionately referred to as the Thanos snap,” said Loeb. “We’ll continue to be in that place until we find out what happens in Avengers 4. In Avengers 4, something else happens. There are little things, Easter egg stuff, it is a shared universe and Roxxon is in this world as well as other places. That’s the kind of thing we really like doing but we always want to do it so it works within the story.”

So, I guess Cloak and Dagger, The Runaways, Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones are all just chilling pre-Thanos’ snap? Perhaps someone should warn them?

While Cloak and Dagger may not be seeing any of the effects from Thanos’ snap anytime soon, we have begun to see connections to the larger Marvel TV universe. In the most recent episode, Brigid O’Reilley mentioned that she knows Luke Cage’s Misty Knight.

“It’s so cool,” said actress Emma Lahana (O’Reilley) during the Cloak and Dagger press room. “When you’re on set, and you’re saying the lines, people will pick up on it, and you get this huge reaction! And it’s so cool to see that. It’s so cool, because the fans seem so happy when they see how they link.”
