And you thought maybe the only Marvel Studios footage you were going to see during the Super Bowl was that new Black Widow trailer? Marvel fans got a big surprise when Disney+ chose to unveil a sneak peek at footage from their first batch of upcoming MCU TV shows. The 30 second trailer reveals the first footage from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and Loki, and it drove the internet crazy during the final moments of the big game.
If you haven’t seen it yet, you can watch the Disney+ MCU TV trailer here…
While that doesn’t reveal too much information, we also have the official synopses from Disney+ and Marvel Studios about each of these three shows. They’re vague, but they’ll have to do for now.
THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER
“Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience—in Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. The all-new series is directed by Kari Skogland; Malcolm Spellman is the head writer. Debuts on Disney+ this fall.”
While there’s only a few seconds of footage from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier in this, there’s one key detail that shouldn’t be overlooked. It appears to give us our first look at a brand new MCU character in the form of John Walker, the USAgent, played by Wyatt Russell.
“Marvel Studios’ WandaVision blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. The new series is directed by Matt Shakman; Jac Schaeffer is head writer. Debuts on Disney+ this year.”
As surreal and wacky as WandaVision appears, there might be some big revelations hidden in all of its classic sitcom homages, not to mention the fact that it gives us our first look at a comics accurate Scarlet Witch costume!

“In Marvel Studios’ Loki, the mercurial villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Kate Herron directs and Michael Waldron is head writer. Debuts on Disney+ next year—2021.”
