Vote for the best movies of the decade

Which movies have made the biggest impression on you over the past 10 years? Vote for your favourites here...

Update: This poll has now closed. A massive thank you to the thousands of you who’ve taken part. We’ll be announcing the results in early December, so watch this space!

Time flies when you’re watching movies… Yep, we’re fast approaching the end of another decade, and while the 2010s haven’t given us hoverboards or flying cars (thanks for getting our hopes up, Zemeckis), they have given us a shedload of cinematic treats that we’ll no doubt be chewing over well into the 2020s and beyond. So, to celebrate the end of another 10 years in movieland, we want you – the Den Of Geek readers – to vote for your favourite films of the decade.

To kick things off – and to prevent the list becoming too unwieldy – the DoG team has shortlisted 50 films that we think have hit it out of the park over the past decade, in terms of quality, influence and cultural significance. This was not an easy task, and we’ve had more than a few, erm, discussions along the way.

We had a few rules, too: the films had to be feature-length and released in the UK after 1 January 2010 (and before 31 December 2019, obvs). We’re also not including documentaries in this list (although we will be celebrating those separately before the year is out). And lastly, this being Den Of Geek, we’ve tried to give this list a bit of a genre focus – meaning that as well as awards-season favourites, we’ve tried to celebrate the best sci-fi, horror, fantasy and action movies the decade has had to offer.

So, what next? Well, we’d like to whittle this list down to 20 films and give them an order. And for that, we need your help. In the survey below, you’ll find our shortlist – we’d like you to choose your favourite five. That’s it. And if we’ve missed a film that you think deserves more love, there’s also an option to include it by writing the title in the relevant box.

This poll will close at midday on Friday 15 November 2019, so you have until then to submit your choices. The votes will then be counted, and the results will be revealed on the site in December, so watch this space!
