The Biggest Stories from SDCC 2015

We have the biggest events, news items, and things you might have missed from San Diego Comic-Con!

Another San Diego Comic-Con has come and gone, leaving in its wake an absolutely exhausted (and somewhat hungover) Den of Geek staff. More importantly, though, it has left us with an absolutely massive stack of exciting stories to run through the details of over and over again in our heads.

So, in case you missed anything, pull up a chair, watch some trailers, and figure out what you should look forward to in geek culture over the next year or so!

Click the headlines for more info on each story!

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice New Trailer

Finally! A trailer that not only shows off Wonder Woman in action, but gives us a better idea of the story beyond just “Batman and Superman fight.” If you look closely, you might even spot Wonder Woman.

We were there in Hall H when this one premiered, so you can find out more about it by clicking the link above!

The Flash Season 2 adds Jay Garrick, New Villain, and More!

The info to come out of the WB TV panel in Hall H might have stolen the show. Not only will one of DC’s first superheroes show up to be Barry’s new mentor, but the series will have a brand new major villain for season two.

And that’s only the beginning! More new heroes and villains, a new love interest for Barry, a new costume, and other goodies were revealed at SDCC.

Archie Meets Ramones

When you think about it, this makes perfect sense. The eternal American teenagers meet a legendary American rock n’ roll band. The Ramones were always like real life cartoon characters, and Archie has always flirted with rock n’ roll.

Quentin Tarantino Shows Off The Hateful Eight

Quentin Tarantino showed up in Hall H again, and this time with actual footage from The Hateful Eight. Like a lot of footage. As in, nearly eight minutes of it! In glorious 70mm, every one of the titular eight characters got their chance to shine in the coldest, snowiest looking Western ever filmed.

While that sizzle reel/trailer will likely never be online, we hope that Tarantino and Samuel L. Jackson’s tutorial explaining a “roadshow” movie, as well as what 70mm can do, is released for fans. Because with two Den of Geek writers in attendance, it was a pleasure to be schooled like that.

Suicide Squad Movie Unveiled

Where were you when Margot Robbie made her Hall H debut as Harley Quinn? What about Jared Leto as The Joker? We were there, we saw it all, and we’re dying to tell you all about the most unlikely DC superhero movie of them all.

Sam Raimi Wants an Evil Dead Crossover Movie With Bruce Campbell and Jane Levy

We were also there when Bruce Campbell almost brought the roof down at the Convention Center by playing off Sam Raimi, and especially playing with the audience. He propositioned nearly every woman in that room, and that was only the beginning of the fun.

There was also a trailer that needs to be seen. But perhaps the biggest news of all is that Sam Raimi still wants to make a fourth Evil Dead movie, except now it would be a crossover between Bruce Campbell’s Ash of Ash vs. Evil Dead and Jane Levy’s Mia from the 2013 remake!

Street Fighter vs. GI Joe Comic Coming
