Avengers: Endgame – Katherine Langford Gets Fans Talking

13 Reasons Why star Katherine Langford has a mysterious role in Endgame, currently in reshoots overseas...

Potential spoilers ahead…

Katherine Langford has dyed her hair. While that in itself would not normally be anything close to being considered “news,” it’s definitely got Marvel fans very, very intrigued.

Langford, who is best known for her role as Hannah Baker in Netflix’s controversial teen suicide series 13 Reasons Why, was revealed late last year to have a secret role in Avengers: Endgame (via The Wrap). With Endgame now in the midst of a final round of reshoots in the US, a post by the actress over on Instagram has whipped MCU stans into a froth:

It’s red now, yes. The reveal has opened up a new world of speculation about who Langford might be playing in Marvel’s April showdown between the remaining core Avengers and Thanos. It’s been noted that we are almost certainly in for a time jump when we rejoin what’s left of the team, and that further time travel is likely to be involved, thanks to a recent interview with Samuel L. Jackson about Captain Marvel’s superpowers. So, who do we think Langford might be playing? The leading theory is that she’ll be the grown up daughter of Tony Stark and Pepper Potts, after Infinity War kickstarted the idea that Pepper might be pregnant, which was addressed by Endgame directors the Russos in their typically non-committal way during a Q&A about Tony’s baby dream:

There are plenty of other theories, too. Scarlet Witch has red hair. Black Widow has until recently been a redhead. Of course, Langford’s character might have absolutely no connection to any of the established Avengers. We’ve no doubt the Russos intend to blindside us with some twists in what will potentially be their last film at Marvel.

Let’s face it, we’re unlikely to have any idea what this means (if anything) until Marvel chooses to reveal it, and that may not even happen before our bums are in seats for the fourth team-up flick in April.

If any other suspicious hair activities ensue in the meantime, we’ll let you know. Cap’s missing beard might not be the only big hair news about Endgame after all…

Avengers: Endgame opens on April 26. We have more info on the movie right here.
