Twitch subscriptions are about to get a lot cheaper for people who don’t live in the United States.
“Regardless of where you are in the world, a Tier 1 subscription to a Twitch channel costs $4.99. However, over the next few months that’s set to change, and Twitch subs are getting cheaper for the vast majority of people outside the US. Twitch has announced the introduction of local subscription pricing…”
A new survey by YouGov shows that some people think they can take on a grizzly bear in a one-on-one fight.
“Since many animals never cross paths in the wild, and pitting them against each other for sport is generally frowned upon, deciding which ones would win in a fight mainly happens in a hypothetical realm. But in that realm, according to a recent survey by data company YouGov, people think elephants are the top dog.”
Kuroko’s Basketball, now streaming on Netflix, is an oldie but a goodie that should be on every anime fan’s watch list.
“Surprisingly, I entered into the Kuroko’s Basketball chat fairly late. I binge-watched the first season by accident back when it hit Netflix at the beginning of the year and immediately fell in love with the Seirin High Basketball Team, however, the anime series has been around for years (it premiered in 2012 with the manga starting back in 2008).”
Dave Bautista and James Gunn seem to have confirmed that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be the Guardians’ last Marvel movie together.
“The Guardians of the Galaxy are coming back for one more solo adventure — and then that’s (probably) it. The fan-favorite Marvel team is set to reunite in 2023 for the third film in the Guardians franchise — aptly titled Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 — which will pick up where 2017’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 left off.”
Five episodes into Mare of Easttown and we still don’t know who committed the shocking murder in episode 1. Here are every suspect, broken down.
“The first episode of the HBO limited series Mare of Easttown ended with a gruesome image: a naked woman with a bullet hole above her eye, dead in a river basin. Murder! By the shocking end of Episode 5, we still don’t know who killed her, and figuring out who might have done the crime is still harder than nailing that vowel-flattening Delaware County dialect Detective Mare Sheehan (Kate Winslet) talks in.”
A Quiet Place Part II is a solid and thrilling follow up to John Krasinski’s hit horror movie.
“A Quiet Place Part II is a quintessential great sequel. Everything that worked about the first movie remains intact: high tension, gross monsters, great characters, strong relationships, it’s all there. This time though, everything is bigger—the number of settings and characters, and the scale of the action set pieces. However, the larger landscape doesn’t quite extend to the story as a whole and the result is a film that works but feels familiar and a bit constricted.”
