The next Sony/Marvel movie has been pushed back again, what's new on Crackle this month, all the new shows coming to Disney+, and more in Link Tank!
The Sony/Marvel film Morbius has had its release date pushed back for the sixth time, this time by another three months, with growing concerns about the Omicron variant.
“Sony Pictures has delayed the premiere date of Jared Leto‘s Morbius as the United States faces a surge in COVID-19 cases involving the Omicron variant. According to reports, the film adaptation of the famed Marvel Comics story will now hit theaters on April 1, 2022 instead of its January 28 date. This marks the sixth time Morbius was pushed back; the movie was initially slated to release on July 10, 2020 but was postponed to July 31 then March 19, 2021, October 8, 2021 and January 21, 2022 before its most recent schedule of January 28.”
Marvel has been the biggest moneymaker for Disney for several years now, but could Star Wars take over that throne in 2022?
“With the new year comes new TV shows to obsess over. Forecasts reveal there will be so many new Star Wars shows on Disney+ in 2022, and comparatively fewer Marvel series. That’s a stark contrast to 2021 when Marvel unleashed a barrage of buzzworthy hits while Star Wars’ more anemic year featured only two animated shows and the premiere of The Book of Boba Fett just before New Year’s Eve.”
But speaking of the Marvel series on Disney+ here is the complete list of what we believe is dropping on the platform in 2022.
“Can you believe it was barely a year ago that WandaVision premiered on Disney+? The game-changing series set off a terrific run of Marvel/Disney+ original series that gave us some of the most original series of 2021. And Disney+ shows no signs of stopping, with several new shows hitting the streamer in 2022. Let’s dive in and take a look at what’s coming up in 2022!”

Good news gamers, Steam is reporting that gaming numbers are at an all-time high.
“As the unstoppable virus of Sundays continues its gruesome pandemic into a new week, it seems more humans than ever are turning to video games in order to survive. On the 10th Sunday since the outbreak began, January 2, Steam broke its concurrent user record, hitting just shy of 28 million. More than the entire population of Madagascar logged into Valve’s PC monopoly online store at the same time yesterday, the total reaching 27,942,036. (Thanks u/Turbostrider27.) Given that at the time of writing—when most of the U.S. is still in bed—it’s at 26,919,922, that seems a record that’s likely to be broken yet again today. Not least because it’s the 11th Sunday in a row.”
Clancy Brown reveals more details of the highly anticipated 4th movie in the John Wick franchise.
“Clancy Brown revealed to Collider that his character in the next John Wick movie will reveal ‘more’ of the mysterious High Table. I will say it’s more of the Table revealed. More of the High Table, the kind of intricacies of that authority structure is revealed. With my guy. And I am in a couple of scenes that you could argue are action scenes, I suppose. A lot of my scenes are with Bill Skarsgård, which was a lot of fun.”
