Link Tank: Mega Man Movie in Development
Netflix is bringing the classic video game character to live-action, movie accents aren't accurate sometimes, the best armor attachments in Halo Infinite, and more in Link Tank!
Beloved video game icon Mega Man is the next character to receive a live-action film adaptation, coming to Netflix in the future.
“Apparently, Capcom announced this back in 2018? With Masi Oka (Heroes, Hawaii Five-0, The Meg) serving as co-producer? I’m trying to remember what I was doing in 2018 because I feel like I would’ve remembered an announcement like this, yet here I am, looking at the words ‘Mega Man’ and ‘Netflix’ in quiet… something.”
Could Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop from Hawkeye appear in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania?
“Most of the discussion surrounding 2023’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is understandably focused on Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror. Coming off the character’s impactful introduction in the Loki Season 1 finale, it’s not hard to see why. But Quantumania isn’t just going to further build Marvel’s ongoing Kang storyline. The film is also set to introduce Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang, the grown-up daughter of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), and it’s expected to finally make Cassie an official superhero within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If that’s true, that also means Quantumania will play a part in Marvel’s mysterious Young Avengers plans.”
Did you fall in love with the world of Dune after the movie this past fall? If so, there’s a graphic novel adaptation of the source material.
“You saw the new Dune movie. You loved the new Dune movie. You want to know what happens next. In this scenario, you probably think you have two options. One: wait until 2023 to see the next movie. Two: pick up Frank Herbert’s legendary 1965 book. Either one will provide the answers you seek, but now we’re happy to exclusively debut option three.”
Are you tired of listening to the same Christmas songs over and over again? Then check out this list of the best new Holiday-themed tracks worth jamming to.
“Is there a more tired playlist than your family’s annual holiday music sampler? For many of us, traveling home for the holidays ensures that we’ll not only endure some passive-aggressive familial exchanges we normally spend the rest of the year avoiding; it also means having our ears filled with a list of songs that probably haven’t changed much, if at all, since childhood.”
There are many super cool new armor attachments available for Halo Infinite.
“Every Tuesday, the Halo Infinite store refreshes with a new stock of items and armor to help your Spartan stand out on the battlefield. For the most part, it’s the sort of borderline bro-y stuff you’d expect: ammo belts, additional visor colors, decals, what have you. More recently, the game’s been selling something slightly sillier: pineapple-shaped grenades that you can don on your chest. But December 7th’s store shuffle is something else entirely.”
Ridley Scott’s latest efforts have consistently proven one thing: movie accents aren’t all that accurate anymore.
“It’s not often that accent coaches make headlines, but when one who worked on the set of The House of Gucci spoke to the Daily Beast last month, she made a swipe that quickly spread around the internet. The accusation levied? That the heavy accent Lady Gaga deploys in the film, which catalogs the fall of the dynasty that founded and initially ran the famed fashion house, ‘sounds more Russian than Italian.'”
