12 minutes of Ronald D. Moore's Virtuality online

Tense relationships on board a spacecraft trying to save humanity - haven’t we been here before...?

Interested in what Ronald D. Moore has been doing since he consigned Battlestar Galactica to his impressive list of previous projects?
It seems he’s been working on a TV series called Virtuality, about the 12-person crew of a spacecraft sent on a mission to find somewhere else in the universe for mankind to live, after life on Earth gets a 100 year lifespan.
As with Galactica he’s starting with a 2-hour mini series airing in the US next week, and depending how that goes we might see a full blown show, or not.
To help better understand the rather dark and convoluted plot that Moore has conceived, Fox has just allowed a 12 minute preview of the show to be released online. My reaction was that Virtuality might be mind-job of epic proportions, especially if it gets the series it might well deserve. The only concern is that for the reality TV fans viewing it might involve thinking more than they’re accustomed.
Is this preview real, or is it all just a virtual reality fantasy? Make your own mind up...
