Even though we're no closer yet to finding out who the villain of the piece is going to be, director Sam Raimi has confirmed to MTV Movies that shooting on Spider-Man 4 is set to commence in the first week of March.
The film, Raimi reveals, is still undergoing script tweaks, with Gary Ross (who last week was confirmed as penning the spin-off Venom movie). "I just gave him some notes and he's doing a rewrite right now," Raimi told MTV.
Furthermore, the pre-production work is falling into place, too. Raimi has revealed that the set design work is underway, and one of the film's two visual effects supervisors has been recruited, namely Scott Stokdyk, who worked with Raimi on the first three films. MTV is also promising more news over the coming week, so perhaps some of those casting and character pieces puzzles will also be answered.
Spider-Man 4 will be released in cinemas on May 6th 2011.
