Looks like the game will continue for the dev team over at Mythic Quest.
Apple TV+ has ordered Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet season 2 before the first season of the show even premieres. Apple made the announcement during the streamer’s appearance at the 2020 Winter TCA press tour.
The impressively-named Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet comes from a team of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia writers and producers: Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, David Hornsby, and Megan Ganz. Michael Rotenberg, Nicholas Frenkel, Jason Altman, Danielle Kreinik, and Gérard Guillemot serve as executive producers as well. The show follows the day-to-day operations of a videogame development company as they maintain and update their massive multiplayer online game Mythic Quest through its Raven’s Banquet expansion.
McElhenney stars as the company’s creative director Ian Grimm while Hornsby plays the game’s producer David. The rest of the cast is made up of F. Murray Abraham, Danny Pudi, Imani Hakim, Charlotte Nicdao, David Hornsby, Ashly Burch, and Jessie Ennis.
There is no word on a release date for Mythic Quest season 2 yet but the first season is set to debut all nine of its half-hour episodes of February 7. Mythic Quest becomes the latest Apple TV+ series to score a renewal before its premiere, joining the likes of Little America and Home Before Dark. All of Apple’s first four series: See, The Morning Show, For All Mankind, and Dickinson have been renewed for second seasons as well.
