The Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries movie is here! The film, titled Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears, wrapped production last November, and dropped in North America on Acorn TV in March. Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears follows Phyrne from London to British Palestine in the 1920s when she is pulled into a decade-old mystery, as she does.
We’ve been lamenting the loss of Miss Fisher in our lives since the Australian show went on a potentially infinite hiatus following the move of its leading lady to the UK. While we may never again get a new season of Miss Fisher, there’s still plenty to look forward to in this fandom: most delightfully, Miss Fisher on the big screen!

Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears Trilogy
According to a previous Australia’s Herald Sun, Miss Fishercreators Deb Cox and Fiona Eagger have plans for a movie trilogy a la Indiana Jones starring beloved Phryne Fisher. However, the Kickstarter page for the movie calls it a “stand-alone theatrical release.” Presumably, if the movie did well, more movies would be greenlit.
It’s hard to tell how many people would go see a Miss Fisher movie, but there are a lot of Miss Fisher fans out there. Last year, CEO Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos told The Sydney Morning Herald that he has friends “constantly asking” when Netflix will get another season of Miss Fisher.
