Where does Miracle Workers go after presenting heaven as the bureaucratic mess that it probably is? Why, to the past, of course!
TBS has ordered Miracle Workers Season 2 and has announced that the entire cast will be returning as new characters and adopting a new setting. Miracle Workers had always been described as an anthology series but it was unclear exactly what that meant until now.
“I’m so grateful to have been given the opportunity to bring my novel What in God’s Name to life in season one,” creator Simon Rich said in a statement. “And now that I’ve bled that sucker dry, I’m really excited to tell a brand-new story with the same group of brilliant actors.”
Miracle Workers Season 1 told the story of a God (Buscemi) who has grown bored with his creation and wants to open a restaurant instead. Radcliffe’s character led a crew of heavenly bureaucrats charged with proving to God that the planet was worth maintaining. There is no word on what the new roles in Miracle Workers Season 2 will be but it’s hard to imagine there can be a more perfect casting than Steve Buscemi as God. Miracle Workers is produced with Rich alongside Buscemi, Radcliffe, Lorne Michaels, Andrew Singer, and Katy Jensen of Michaels’ Broadway Video.
Miracle Workers Season 2 Release Date
