It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is going to live well into its teens.

In 2016, FXX renewed its underdog sitcom for two more seasons including It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 14. That is almost an incomprehensibly long time for a show that began with three friends, a video camera, and some pocket change. But hey – quality is quality. Season 14 will take It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia into the TV record books. It will tie The Adventures of Ozzie and Hariet for most seasons of a live-action sitcom. Granted, Ozzie and Hariet had many more episodes but that’s still quite an achievement.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia continues to get better with age and Season 13 was no exception. It’s Always Sunny Season 13 saw the Gang helping the Eagles win the Super Bowl, solving the “bathroom question,” and running afoul the Times Up movement. Glenn Howerton as Dennis Reynolds appeared in a little over half of the season’s episodes and since Howerton’s A.P. Bio on NBC was picked up for season 2, season 14 will likely face similar availability issues.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 13 is likely to continue the show’s strong streak of late-series episodes. It’s a big question as to whether season 14 can top season 13’s ending though. I mean…look at this thing.

It’s Always Sunny Season 14 premiered on September 25th on FXX. The next episode, “Paddy’s Has A Jumper,” airs November 13th at 10:00 p.m. on FXX. It was written by Dannah Phirman and Danielle Schneider, and directed by Kimberly McCullough. Here’s the episode synopsis from FXX:
