20 Cool and Unique Photos of Our Awesome World
Oftentimes, we tend to focus on the negative side of the world around us, either due to harsh political realities or tragic news from around the globe. And yet, the world continues to be a beautiful place filled with wonder, one that, while greatly explored, has to be experienced first hand in order to understand it.
This is why, today, we’ve gathered a few images from around the world for everyone to enjoy. What we can see and create on the internet is also wonderful, but that shouldn’t take away from the time we spend outside; let the following pictures inspire your future journeys.
Bulgarian Tradition
In Bulgaria, there is a tradition to don these costumes (known as Babugeri) to ward off evil spirits, with performative dances and seasonal events.
Red & White Rose
Roses are artificially tinted all the time, but they also have naturally occurring variants. This is the Osiria, a large rose with red and white petals within it.
Sprouting Tree
Those may look like roots, yet this tree isn’t upside down. This is something that can happen to some trees where their trunks divide into four, creating this beautiful variant.
Road to Dubai

Among the Faroe Islands there’s one in particular, the smallest of them all known as Litla Dimun, that has its own personal cloud due to how weather works in that region.

The Tokyo Skytree is one of the most recognizable towers in Japan, so tall when seen from below that it seems it really does touch the heavens. When viewed from Sumida Park, it instead seems like a tree among fellow trees.

We all share the same sun, making sunsets wonderful no matter where you are. This one from Thailand is of particular note, due to the mystifying effect of the ‘lines’ in the sky, likely caused by something blocking a bit of sunlight.

House designs vary greatly, although the further back you go in history’s timeline, the multiple floored brick building appears more often than not. The multiple balconies and different styles make it seem like something out of Hello Neighbor.
Snow Wedding
Being cold shouldn’t be a reason not to take a cool picture, although this one might be a bit cooler than anticipated. The snow backdrop, however, makes it well worth it.
Siberian Hug
Just like house cats leave their scent all over our furniture, so do wildcats and large felines do the same on their territories. Here we can appreciate a Siberian tiger ‘hugging’ a tree to leave their mark.
Solar Rocket
While yes, a picture of the sun isn’t exactly showcasing how great and awesome our world is, it is the main celestial body that allows us to be alive. This photo in particular was taken with a solar telescope as a rocket flew by.
On Top of the World
If you climb the top of mount Segla in Northern Norway, you’ll have quite the breathtaking view below. Pair this with the right time of day and a circle-shaped rainbow, and you end up with a view to remember.
Passionflowers
Some things don’t need to be far away to be amazing to witness, and this is the case with the three variants shown here of the Passionflower. Their distinct structure makes them beautiful in their own style.
Frozen Leaves
In certain parts of Canada, leaves can freeze over the mud, creating this structure when the soft mud retreats elsewhere.

In Bregaglia, Switzerland, there is part of the road shaped by two interconnected rocks. Their perilous look give them their infamy, although the chances of a landslide are slim.
