Broadband, ey? Where would we be without it? Although we’re still stockpiling discs and even have the odd tape tucked away, our cherished world of geekdom is moving ever further into the online realm. Streaming movies, binging TV shows, downloading games and interacting with apps all require healthy dollops of internet juice, and even the smallest household needs a speedy connection to keep the good times rolling.
So, to save you from trawling the web in search of Black Friday broadband bargains, we’ve compiled some of our favourites right here. Feel free to click away at any point if you fancy making a purchase…
Get Sky Cinema with TalkTalk broadband (for just £27.95 a month)

You get all of that for £27.95 per month, thanks to this deal, instead of the usual £49.50.
Strong speeds at Plusnet for just £22.49 a month!
If you’re looking for some speedy internet at the lowest possible cost, Plusnet is offering the best prices currently. On an 18-month contract, you get average download speeds of 66Mbps for only £22.49. BT’s Superfast Fibre 2 comes with a £140 reward card!
If you can afford to pay a few quid more every month, BT will treat you to a hefty reward card: you’ll receive £140 on a pre-paid Mastercard if you sign up for an 18-month broadband package with average speeds of 67Mbps. There is a £9.99 postage cost, followed by monthly payments of £39.99. You also get unlimited weekend calls, BT Virus Protect and free access to 5 million WiFi hotspots around the UK.
Basic broadband for just £15.90 at the Post Office
Down at the more cheap and cheerful end of the spectrum, Post Office has a brilliantly cheap deal on some a 12-month contract: for zero upfront and just £15.90 per month (instead of the previous price of £30), you’ll get average peak time speeds of 11Mbps. For low usage households, this should be enough to cover browsing, emails and a bit of light streaming.
Mind-boggling speeds at Virgin, for as little as £25 per month
If you’ve got a busy household of web-users, or a lot of downloading to do yourself, Virgin is the place to look for help. You can use their Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals to crank up your download speed to 108Mbps for £25 per month (down from £27), or 213Mbps for £30 per month (down from £37), or 362Mbps for £35 per month (down from £42). Whichever option you opt for, you’ll have to pay a £25 set-up fee.
