Geek shows and movies on UK TV in the coming week

It’s all about the movies this week as spooktacular pickings are in store to celebrate straight through the witching hour and beyond. Still, a few choice shows are worth mentioning in and among the horrorfest.

Spooks of the non-ethereal type return on BBC1 at 9pm, Wednesday November 4th and again on BBC3 at 12:15am on Thursday, the 5th, when the long running British spy drama heads into its 8th trip through the corridors of MI5.

While not new, a few excellent programs return for repeat engagements and a perfect opportunity to catch up before new series kick off, or in some cases, just enjoy again. They include:

Dead Set, reshown in its entirety starting at 10:00pm on E4 Halloween night, October 31st and 11:00pm on E4+1.

Battlestar Galactica does another tour of duty on Sci-Fi with the The Mini-Series airingon Monday 2nd November at 9:00pm.

And the highly recommended Breaking Bad re-revs with its pilot shown on Five USA, Tuesday 3rd November at 11:00pm.
