The 15 Greatest Fight Scenes in Cinema History

Why do we love action scenes, or fight scenes specifically? Because they are a conversation between the hero and their adversaries. They aren’t just clashes of skill, but of ideals, represented beautifully on screen (at least when done right) and making us gasp in awe.

They can be short scenes, and even then, take ages to complete. And that’s without mentioning the training involved. These following movies contain the greatest action scenes in all of cinema history, and while it isn’t an exhaustive list, it surely contains something new to entertain you.

The franchise is packed with back-to-back, exceptional fight scenes. The sequence in Chapter 2 where the assassin fights his way through an unbridled museum display completely redefined modern close-quarters cinematic combat for a new generation.
