Twilight: Breaking Dawn to be broken into two films
Simon Brew
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart had better keep their diaries free for the coming year or so, as the final Twilight book is set to become two films…

It seems like the plan to break the final book of the Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn, into two films is going ahead. The idea was first mooted last year, buoyed, no doubt, by the way Warner Bros has extended the Harry Potter cinematic franchise by cutting Deathly Hallows into two movies. And now? Off the back of the enormous worldwide gross for New Moon - and with the DVD and Blu-ray revenues to come - Summit Entertainment has seemingly decided to prolong by far its most lucrative franchise ever.
The plan, reports Deadline Hollywood, is to get two different directors in to do the two planned Breaking Dawn movies. Melissa Rosenberg is once again writing the scripts to the films, and we'd expect production to begin by the end of the year.
Here's the Deadline Hollywood story.
