Nicolas Cage leads the reunion of the National Treasure team, as we get the first trailer for next summer’s The Sorcerer's Apprentice...
Published on Dec 10, 2009
While we await news on a third National Treasure movie, Disney, director Jon Turteltaub, producer Jerry Bruckheimer and the main man Nicolas Cage appear to have plugged the gap with The Sorcerer's Apprentice, for which we now have the first trailer.
In the film, Nicolas Cage appears to be playing Nicolas Cage - it's been a good few weeks since we saw that in a trailer - the emphasis, on the basis of this promo, is on blowing shit up, loud music, Bruckheimer-esque car crashes and that kind of gubbins. It's not a great trailer, to be fair, but they've got another seven months to sell it to us yet.
It does have one flat-out highlight, though, when someone actually asking Nicolas Cage if he's insane. Have they not seen his films before?
The film is out on July 16th 2010.
