Gal Gadot

Conquered the World

How

With Wonder Woman 1984 soon available to stream, we look at Gal Gadot’s wondrous rise to stardom.

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot is one the most famous, and highest paid, actresses in the world.

Which is remarkable since the Israeli performer didn’t originally intend to go into acting.

Studying international relations at IDC Herzliya, Gadot at one time considered being a lawyer.

But by then she’d already been crowned Miss Israel at the age 18 and competed in the Miss Universe pageant.

After serving a mandatory two years in the IDF as a fitness/combat readiness instructor, she went to school…

But also took up modeling and acting, even auditioning for Daniel Craig’s second Bond movie.

She lost the part, but not a taste for the acting bug.

Gadot appeared on magazine covers and in ad campaigns, but her big break was Fast and Furious.

Appearing in the fourth Fast movie opposite Vin Diesel, director Justin Lin liked her military background for the actioner.

She appeared in three Fast movies as Gisele Yashar before her character was killed off.

But Gadot soon made up for it, being cast as Wonder Woman in 2013.

Gal Gadot first appeared as the Amazonian warrior in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016).

Widely considered the best part of that movie, she followed it up with Wonder Woman (2017).

The solo movie is critically the best received DC superhero movie of modern times and is a timeless adventure…

And she reprised the role again in 2017’s Justice League and this year’s Wonder Woman 1984.

She’s also lined up a major role in Kenneth Branagh’s Death on the Nile next…

And will reteam with director Patty Jenkins to play the legendary historical figure, Cleopatra.
