Simon Brew
One of the stalwarts of Stargate, Mr Robert C Cooper, is leaving the franchise…
Published on Jul 19, 2010
Stargate veteran Robert C Cooper, the man who co-created Stargate Universe and has worked on the show in its many forms - having been executive producer on both SG-1 and Atlantis - is leaving the show. The news was announced by Joseph Mallozzi, another of Stargate Universe's executive producers, on his blog.
Cooper has since told Gateworld that "I'm not leaving completely, actually - just stepping back to more of a consulting role for the end of this season."
He will retain an executive producer credit on season two, given that most of it is already developed, and he's writing three episodes of the new season, directing one.
You can read more on the story at Gateworld here.

Didn't Malozzi post something about this AGES ago? I remember hearing about it before the summer.
