Catch Robert Downey Jr’s take on the classic sleuth as new promotional clips of Sherlock Holmes take a bow…
Published on Dec 2, 2009
Next month, there's a major blockbuster coming out that isn't in 3D and isn't directed by James Cameron. It's the bringing together of Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law in Sherlock Holmes, which Warner Bros is hoping will be the start of a brand new franchise (it's already got the wheels of sequel in motion).
Sherlock Holmes, which arrives in the UK on Boxing Day and in the US the day before, has been directed by Guy Ritchie, and the TV spots that have emerged continue the theme of pitching the film as a comedy action flick. Probably because that's what it is. We hope there's room for some good detective stuff in there too, though.
Here are the first three TV spots promoting the film. And is it just us that wishes Robert Downey Jr was in pretty much every single film right now? Is it too late to get him in The Expendables?
