Michael Jackson has died suddenly in Los Angeles, after a cardiac arrest

It's now been confirmed that Michael Jackson has died, at the age of 50.
Jackson, one of the biggest musical stars on the planet, was reported to have had a cardiac arrest. Paramedics apparently had tried to revive him, but failed to do so, according to the website TMZ.com.
Jackson's music permeates many films of the past 30 years, and he also appeared in Moonwalker and The Wiz, as well as cameoing in Men In Black II. He also appeared in an episode of The Simpsons, and lent his voice to the videogame Space Channel 5.
He is survived by his three children.
UPDATE:
The staff of the LA Times claim to have been told by city officials and law enforcement officers that Jackson was pronounced dead by doctors after arriving at the UCLA medical center in a state of coma. LINK
