2021 is finally here. An entire year's worth of top-tier movies should help us get through the hangover of 2020. Here's what you can look forward to!
After a grim—and largely movie-free—2020, the New Year promises bluer skies.
And among those silver linings is an absolutely stacked movie calendar.
A Quiet Place II
This includes many of the biggest movies intended for last year getting their due.
Top Gun: Maverick (2021)
Disney, for one, has three Marvel films currently scheduled via Black Widow, Eternals, and Shang-Chi.

There are also anticipated holdovers like No Time to Die, A Quiet Place Part II, and F9.

We’ll also see missed efforts from last year, like Lin-Manuel Miranda’s In the Heights

But 2021 should be an embarrassment of riches for more than just spectacle.
Judas and the Black Messiah (2021)
Indeed, the year begins with Oscar hopefuls like Judas and the Black Messiah and Minari still opening in February.
Meanwhile Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch should finally arrive this year

And Guillermo del Toro, Olivia Wilde, Taika Waititi, Robert Eggers, and Taylor Sheridan all have films expected to drop in 2021.
Plus the next end of year crop of prestige pics like Ridley Scott’s The Last Duel epic and Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story.

… And a new Space Jam. Because of course.

If all these come out, 2021 will have us toasting until next New Year…
